The WRCC has been actively managing since 2007 to improve, develop, and protect the Welland Recreational Waterway and Canal Lands through a licensing agreement with the City of Welland.

The WRCC aims to be a transparent, responsive organization with the highest level of integrity and accountability. Our Board of Directors meets regularly throughout the year and the WRCC Executive, weekly. As an open and responsive organization we provide a host of information for the public here on our website and there is a wide array of information made available to the public through various mediums and releases. The Canal Corporation does its best to keep the public up-to-date and informed of its happenings, involving the public as much as possible. This is evident through information made available online as well as presentations made regularly to various community groups / organizations.
