Farmers’ Market
Local Farmers proudly share the excitement and flavour of the Welland Farmers’ Market with you. They’ve been luring locals and tourists every Saturday to the Market since 1907, with shelves of fresh fruits and vegetables, tasty meats, natural cheeses, local artisans, and baked goods. Th
e Welland Farmers’ Market is a community place where vendors and patrons respect each other. Vendors at the Welland Farmers’ Market develop community and sell quality products. We endeavour to create an environment which promotes creativity, openness, and cooperation, to celebrate the local talent and expertise that is showcased at the Market.

Merritt Island
Merritt Island is located in the downtown core of the city between the Welland Recreational Waterway and the Welland River. It is home to a beautiful 4.2 km tree-lined path perfect for walking, jogging, hiking, biking, rollerblading, or even picnicking. With a playground for children, a scenic canal trail, and wood carvings by local artist JP Gauthier, Merritt Island is perfect for families, friends and outdoor enthusiasts!

                     

Rental Centre

Get out and about OR a boat! The Flatwater Community Rental Program offers a chance to take advantage of gorgeous weather, take in the scenic landscapes or plan an outdoor adventure on the Recreational Waterway, opening May long weekend and operating weekends 12 pm – dusk during the spring. During the months of July and August, the hours of operation are weekdays 12 pm – dusk and weekends 11 am – dusk. Rent single kayaks, tadem kayaks, pedal boats, recreational canoes, and standup paddle boards (SUP).Enjoy the beautiful Recreational Waterway for your self with affordable rental rates. Come with your friends or bring the whole family!

Welland Historical Museum

With a city more than 150 years old, there are a lot of stories to be told. What better way to learn then visiting the W
elland Museum! The museum features both permanent and changing exhibits that highlight the history of Welland and Pelham from pre-history to present. 
The Simply Capitol Exhibit, a replica of Welland’s former Capitol Theatre, shows classical movies on a daily basis. Younger visitors are able to experience hands-on play and discovery through the mueum’s interactive children’s gallery, which also includes a live reptile exhibit. The museum also offers a yearly schedule of special events! Whether visitors are seeking a special gift or a souvenir, the gift shop contains affordable and unique handmade items from across the Niagara Region. Official merchandise for the 2015 Pan Am Games is also available in the gift shop! Admission to the museum is by donation. Operating hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm, Sunday-Monday CLOSED. The Waterway
